How to create a new voucher / coupon

On the left hand menu, click on ‘Sales’ tab then ‘Coupons’ dropdown item

You will then be taken to the coupon / vouchers page showing existing coupon(s) if any

Click on the ‘Add New Coupon’ button

Now you will be taken to the new coupon / voucher page

Under the ‘Details’ panel at the top, fill in the necessary fields:

1. Name: Give the coupon a name - for example “50% Off Sale”
   
   

2. Code: Leave this blank, or manually enter a ‘code’ that people can use to redeem the coupon / voucher
   
   

3. Type: Select either voucher or coupon:
   
   

   1. A ‘voucher’ has a value that diminishes as its used (ideal for ONE customer to use only)
      
      

   2. A ‘coupon’ applies a set discount value to an order (and is generally use by multiple customers)
      
      

4. Terms: Optional information to display such as ‘terms & conditions apply, one per customer’
   
   

5. Description: You can give a more detailed description of the inclusions / information regarding this voucher / coupon

Now move down to the ‘Configuration’ tab

1. Start Date: Select a start today (if you want it to work instantly, select today)
   
   

2. Expiry Date: Date the voucher / coupon will stop working / expire
   
   

3. Multiple Customers Allowed: Select multiple customers this is applicable for
   
   

4. Single Customers Allowed: Select a single customer this is applicable for
   
   

   1. Leaving either C or D blank will mean ANY customer can use the voucher / coupon
      
      

5. Max Usages Overall
   
   

6. Max Usages Per Order
   
   

7. Max Usages Per Member

Under the final panel labeled ‘Discount’

1. Type: 

   1. Percent: A percentage amount off the order total
      
      

   2. Fixed Amount: A fixed amount off the order total (vouchers use this)
      
      

   3. Product: A full credit for a specific product ordered
      
      

   4. Credit
      
      

2. Amount: The value of discount to be applied (for Percent & Fixed Amount)
   
   

3. Product Min. Quantity: Enter the minimum quantity to purchase in order to get this deal
   
   

4. Object Type & Object: Restrict the coupon / voucher to a specific product purchase
   
   

Click ‘Save’
