On the left hand menu, click Website - then select ‘Site Settings’
Click the ‘Shopping’ tab to view shop settings
Scroll to the settings in the ‘Stock Control’ panel
Adjust the ‘Allow Backorders’ select box to the suitable value:
No: Will stop customers ordering product that is not available in the quantity requested and/or is out of stock
Yes: Will allow the customer to purchase any quantity of the product, regardless of the stock level
Press ‘Save’ to confirm the changes
