Billables are essentially tracking chargeable items to contacts / customers. Billables include material costs, compliance costs and optionally labour costs too (from completed tasks).
Quick-add a billable
Go to the ‘Billables’ tab, and click ‘New Billable’
You will be taken to the new billable page
You must select a ‘contact’ for the billable - this is important for billing the correct contact
Scroll to the ‘Link Inventory Product’ section, you can optionally select a pre-entered product to bill to the client, alternatively - skip to step 5:
Scroll to the ‘Item Information’ section, then input your ‘Title’ for example:
“Printing of Plans”
“Fuel / Mileage”
“Black Paint”
This is the primary short description for the billable item
Enter your ‘Price’ for the billable - i.e. $10.00 or $10000
Enter the ‘Quantity’ you wish to bill, default is 1
Scroll to the bottom and click ‘Save’
You can now ‘generate’ an invoice from the cumulative billables you will have for clients.
